Tour Itinerary
Day 1-2: Dharamsala & McLeod Ganj
Arrive in Dharamsala / McLeod Ganj (Little Lhasa). Day 1: Visit the Tsuglagkhang Complex – the residence of the Dalai Lama and the Namgyal Monastery. Walk through the Tibetan colony market for momos and thukpa. Day 2: Trek to Triund (9,350 ft) – a 6 km hike rewarded with breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range and the Kashmir valley below.
Day 3-4: Manali & Rohtang
Drive to Manali (7 hrs). Day 3: Explore Old Manali street food and Hadimba Devi Temple in the cedar forest. Day 4: Day trip to Rohtang Pass (weather/season permitting) or Solang Valley for paragliding, zorbing, and snowfields.
Day 5-6: Spiti Valley – Kaza & Key Monastery
Drive from Manali into the Spiti Valley (Kunzum Pass route). Day 5: Arrive in Kaza, the headquarters of Spiti district at 11,980 ft. Visit the ancient Key Monastery perched on a hilltop. Day 6: Explore Kibber village (one of the world's highest inhabited villages) and the Dhankar Monastery – a mud fortress perched on a cliff 1,000m above the valley.
Day 7: Chandratal Lake – The Moon Lake
Full-day excursion to the stunning Chandratal Lake (14,100 ft) – a crescent-shaped glacial lake of mesmerizing turquoise waters. Trek for 2 km from the campsite to the lake shore. Return to Kaza or campsite for overnight stay under an extraordinary cover of stars at altitude.
Day 8: Return & Departure
Drive back to Manali via Kunzum Pass. Transfer to the Bhuntar Airport (Kullu) for your flight to Delhi, or catch the overnight bus. You return changed – calmer, more grateful, and secretly planning your return to the mountains.
